OxPHWOARd is back and exploding onto the stage at OFS for a night of queer, neo and boundary pushing cabaret, from the fierce and feisty to the silly and surreal.
In a glittering array of lip syncing, striptease and comedy, OxPHWOARd brings you its biggest show of the year celebrating Pride in a truly fabulous way, with some of the best performers in the subversive UK burlesque and drag scene, on Saturday July 20.
And with a diverse line-up of drag darlings and burlesque babes including Lily Lustre, Cadbury Parfait, Trixie Pixie, Deeva D and Frisky Whispers, all hosted by the infamous Ginger Tart, you’re in for a treat.
So celebrate the camp, queer, and eclectic with a range of fierce, funny and frisky acts, in this electric evening showcasing burlesque and drag with a Phwoar!
Throw in some creative costuming, kitschy approach, a killer soundtrack, innovative visuals and a truck load of attitude, it promises to be an uplifting, invigorating and empowering evening eating to gender, race, and what it means to be sexy.
Drag queen Ginger Tart explains: “We make our shows unapologetically queer, intersectional, and so much fun. This is a space where there are no rules about gender and where people can be creative and weird and truly express themselves, and we are excited to bring this to even more people.”
Among the cast is the sensational Cadbury Parfait (see main pic), in the top 50 most influential performers in the world, served up in a classic burlesque with some good, old British tongue-in-cheek humour and old-school Hollywood glam.
The show also stars Lily Lustre, a siren of striptease; the professional undresser has sparkled on stages from Oslo to Amsterdam, Paris to Berlin and beyond, with her mesmerising stage presence and elaborate costumes.
