It’s a huge testament to the team that a 28 seater pub in the middle of nowhere can be recognised like this. It’s always been a dream to have a pub/restaurant in the Michelin Guide but that’s down to our executive chef Nathan and sous chef Lucy. We couldn’t be prouder.”

Hendrik Dutson-Steinfeld, chef patron at The Duck On The Pond, another new entry this year, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to be recognised in this way. When people believe in you, it helps you push forward, and validates what you are trying to achieve. So it means a lot and came as a complete surprise. “

While head chef Andrew Carr of The Yurt at Nicholsons adds: “We are very happy to see The Yurt included in the Michelin Guide for the third year running, our tented restaurant punching well above our weight with some of the Oxfordshire giants. This inclusion reflects the hard work and passion of the whole team here.”
