Thousands of visitors and foodies are expected to descend on The Witney Festival of Food and Drink (WFOFAD) on Saturday 17 May, with a full day of community celebrations, nourishment and entertainment in the town centre.

Set in and around the beautiful medieval St Mary’s Church and Church Green, the event runs from 10am-5pm and features over 65 artisan stallsstreet foodlive musiclocal group displays, and a festival bar and café.

Run entirely by local volunteers, WFOFAD has a renowned and friendly reputation thanks to its community focus, with all proceeds supporting the charitable work of the Parish of Witney.

And if you’ve been before, there’s lots of new attractions for 2025, with two wine tasting sessions (1–3pm and 3–5pm) hosted by Eynsham Cellars inside St Mary’s Church, where winemakers and importers will be on hand. Then on Church Green, the Festival Arena will showcase group presentations by local children including Nemo’s Gym display team, Stagecoach and Menssana Martial Arts — to create a vibrant festival atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Festival Tent promises a packed schedule of live music starting at 10am, with local acts including Dr. Robert, Dust Dogs, Barefoot Molly and Buttercross Ukule Group playing classic covers, folk, rock, and acoustic sets.

When you get thirsty, the Festival Bar will be serving a selection of local craft ales and cider from Little Ox Brew, Old Stag Cider, and Tap Social Movement.

UE Coffee Roasters will also be joining in the fun with their own pop-up UE café, serving barista-made coffee all day long.

Adding to the festive buzz, the Witney Fair will also be in full swing nearby on The Leys, offering something for adrenalin junkies and families alike.
