Fans of Cecconi’s in Mayfair will be delighted to hear that a new branch has been opened at Bicester Village this week, the first in the UK outside of London.
Nick Jones of Soho House & Com says: “Bringing this much-loved restaurant and pizza bar to Bicester Village for locals and shoppers to enjoy is an exciting moment for Cecconi’s.
The classic, contemporary restaurant will bring a fresh taste of northern Italy to Oxfordshire, or as Nick puts it: “Italian food is loved around the world, and for nearly 20 years, our members and guests have enjoyed Cecconi’s authentic Venetian food and warm hospitality.”
Think handmade pastas, oven-baked pizzas, fresh seafood, cicchetti and wholesome, seasonal mains in a stylish setting, buzzy atmosphere and you’ll be close.
It joins Jones’ other Bicester Village offerings – the ‘farmshop’ restaurant & cafe.
Soho House & Co bought Cecconi’s in 2005, the original opened in London in 1978 by Enzo Cecconi, where the theatricality of food and five-star hospitality made it an overnight success and a magnet for both celebrities and royalty alike.
The Bicester Village branch comes after sister restaurants in West Hollywood, Miami, Istanbul, Berlin, Barcelona, New York and Mumbai.
Bicester Village’s José Luis Duran says: “We welcome Cecconi’s passion, attention to detail and rigour in delivering memorable experiences. The opening of the restaurant marks an exciting new chapter for our founding Village.”
