Baker’s Dozen is preparing to take Oxford by storm when it returns to The Bullingdon on July 28 for a night of irresistible sing-a-longs, modern day hits and the kind of crowd-connecting performance that keeps audiences coming back for more.
Known for their tight musicianship, dynamic performances, and a sound that effortlessly balances feel-good hooks with serious musical chops, Baker’s Dozen has been building a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging live acts.

Originating from Oxford, the band has been building momentum in London, recently selling out its headline show at The Spice of Life, Soho, but can’t wait to return to The Bullingdon with an even bigger show this July, after last year’s epic gig.
“This show is a big one for us, as it is the first gig back in Oxford since we moved to London,” Baker’s Dozen founder Hugh Baker says.
“We are so excited to be back in Oxford where the journey started. We can’t wait to bring a brand new setlist of fantastic summer songs to the Bullingdon. It’s going to be a massive celebration for the start of summer.”

The band consists of three singers, five horns, drums, guitar, bass and two keyboards, and their current touring show features hits from RAYE, Olivia Dean and Lola Young amongst others. The majority met at Magdalen College School, but have added some new band members along the way.
So what do their audiences love so much about Baker’s Dozen? “People love the sense of community that the band brings, our big arrangements of well-known songs, our involvement of the crowd in our set, as well as the pure musicality of everyone in the band. People are often wowed by the sheer size of our collective and how vast the show is,” Hugh explains.
“Baker’s Dozen has always been about the audience. To be able to dance, sing and tap along to all the songs and give them a night they won’t forget. The band has a reputation as a party band, where people can sing-a-long to their favourite tunes with the backing of a huge band. We want to make pop exciting again by giving classic hits and new music a live, electrifying boost.
