Summer Supper from the Potager with minimal food miles – July 21, 7.15pm. The Yurt at Nicholsons – featuring inventive dishes using its potager’s fresh produce, herbs and seasonal fruit. Enjoy a glass of prosecco, canapés on arrival and a three-course meal. Think vegetable pot-au-feu, slow cooked duck egg, black garlic and smoked cured Gloucester Old Spot for starter, stuffed lamb saddle with Imam bayildi, confit tomato, barley, North Aston Organics yoghurt for mains and a strawberry terrine, white chocolate set cream, poppy seed tuile and basil sorbet to finish, with a terrific vegetarian menu also available. £44 per person. book here
Glastonbury Party, The Plough West Hanney, Sunday June 25 – Live screening of the grand finale of Glastonbury while enjoying a pizza fest! Watch Elton John rocking the Pyramid stage from the comfort of the historic pub.
The Duke at Woodleys, Woodstock’s tasting menu and wine flight. Thursday June 22. LAMBFEST, The Lamb at Little Milton June 24. Enjoy a tug of war, live music, outdoor bar and burgers to raise money for the local church and other charities.
Orange Bakery’s Pop Up Cafe, Watlington Hill Sanctuary Farm, July 5-22. Feast on plant and bread based dips, salads, buns, ice creams and sandwiches and eat while enjoying views to die for. read about it here
