Summer Science with Science Oxford

Summer is here and Science Oxford is bringing you a jam-packed programme of hands-on science!

Its popular Summer Science Camps are back at the Science Oxford Centre in Headington during the holidays, for children age 6-9 (August 15-19) and 9-12 (August 22-26), designed for children who love science and want to discover more.

The Science Oxford Centre is also open every Saturday for Summer Family Days, with two hours in the Exploration Zone and all day to roam around the 15 acres of woodland, outdoor Water Lab and the picnic areas.

Summer Science

Pick up an Explorer Backpack with binoculars, compass, bug pot and mini-whiteboard (thanks to the brilliant Operation Earth project) and look out for wildlife with the special trail maps. You can also have a go at science-themed activities in the Live Lab!

If you can’t get there yourself, luckily Science Oxford is taking pop up science fun out on the road with Oxfordshire Play Association Play Days to Berinsfield on August 2 where children can experiment with Oobleck, bubbles, puzzles and hoop flyers, something for everyone to join in with and it’s all free!

Finally, the fun family Creature Creations workshop comes the Museum of Oxford where budding scientists aged 5-10 can invent their own creatures with superpower survival skills on 4 August.
