Summer’s here and it is time to enjoy new family friendly show Mind The Monsters thanks to Oxford Playhouse’s hugely popular Playhouse Plays Out Tent Tour, coming to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, The Leys in Witney and the BT Studio in Oxford.
Join Joy and Hope and their friends The Overthinking Octopus, Perfect Pixie, The Aware-Wolf and others on an interactive adventure around the brain. Complete your monster training and help them ward off worries from the Head Goblin.
The fun-filled interactive adventure around the brain, written by Ben Watson and directed by Al Miller, is 50 minutes long and aimed at ages 5 to 11 years.
Oxford Playhouse’s Paul Simpson said: “We are so thrilled to be back on tour this summer with Mind the Monsters which introduces important themes of mental wellbeing to young people (and adults!), particularly in the wake of the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are looking forward to, bringing exciting theatre directly to young people and families across Oxfordshire, specifically to those who might face barriers in engaging with cultural opportunities.”
The show will be travelling to The Leys in Witney on Saturday July 1- Sunday July 2 and then onto Blenheim Palace Woodstock on July 8, 9,15 and 16 before finishing the tour at the Playhouse’s Burton Taylor Studio on Wed July 19 – Sun July 30.
Set up in 2012, the Playhouse Plays Out Tent tour aims to bring great theatre to as many people as possible. Each year thousands of children and their families have a free taste of theatre as the pop up tent tours the county.
For the tent tour at Witney or Blenheim you can just turn up but for the Burton Taylor studio booking is needed. Anyone going to the Blenheim performances needs to have a Park & Gardens ticket or Annual Pass.
