Tap Social is opening a brand new venue ‘Day Release‘ at Milton Park’s Signal Yard in South Oxfordshire early next year, it’s ‘biggest and most ambitious project to date’.
Aiming to bring all Tap Social brands together under one roof with a cafe by day, bar by night vibe, expect an all-day menu of crowd-pleasing favourites and healthy, affordable options, served alongside a vibrant programme of events, a new brew school, and of course Tap’s award-winning Criminally Good beer.

Day Release will be Tap Social’s fifth Oxfordshire community venue, already boasting Tap Social Taproom in Botley, Proof Social Bakehouse in Kennington, Market Tap in Oxford’s Covered Market and Tap Social Lock 29 in Banbury.

Tap’s Brian Spencer adds: “Milton Park is ideally located so it’s the perfect opportunity for us and a really unique, purpose-built space, so it’s our biggest and most ambitious project to date. We want to bring Tap’s unique, quirky, community-focused vibe there and are really excited about opening in 2026.”
In terms of food, a special all-day dining menu menu has already been planned including exciting sandwiches, pizzas and salads, which also features Proof’s pastries and cakes, and Tap’s indomitable beer.
Throw in a packed events schedule including live music, quizzes, comedy nights, art workshops and even family-friendly raves and Tap hopes Day Release will become one of the region’s most exciting new destinations.

“By day, Day Release will be like an extension of Proof Social, and by night a mix of Market Tap and the Tap Social Taproom. Milton Park obviously has a huge number of people working there whom we hope will pop in for lunch and a coffee, and after work we aim to provide somewhere to relax, get together and have a good time,” Brian adds.
The new Tap Brew School will also be on site, where the public can book in and brew their own beer to take home, perfect for parties, team-building and corporate events.
Signal Yard at Milton Park is a thriving hub of 13 independent local businesses, perfectly aligned with Tap Social’s mission to make every pint, plate, person and place count, where Tap will be joining the likes of 1885 Burgers, Chor Muang Thai and Planted Plates.

Designed as an inclusive, accessible destination, Signal Yard features green spaces, secure bicycle storage, EV charging bays, dedicated parking and excellent public transport links. It will be open into evenings and weekends, creating a lively destination for everyone.
Day Release will also provide further opportunity for Tap Social to support, train, and provide fulfilling employment to people who have had contact with the criminal justice system.
