The Witney Festival of Food and Drink returns on Saturday (May 16), bringing a full day of artisan food, drink, and community celebration to the heart of Witney.
Set in and around St Mary’s Church and Church Green, the festival runs from 10am to 4.30pm and will feature over 60 artisan stalls, alongside street food, live music, local group displays, and a festival bar and café.
Organised entirely by local volunteers, WFOFAD has a distinctive community character that sets it apart from larger commercial events and in 2025, nearly 4,000 visitors joined the festival, making it one of the best-loved days in Witney’s calendar.

So what’s new for 2026? How about an exciting and expanded Performance Arena programme on Church Green, including Sol Samba, a community-based samba band bringing the joy and energy of Brazilian music.
Families will also be able to take part in the Children’s Trail, where kids can collect letters from stalls across the festival to spell a mystery word and claim a small prize, encouraging exploration of the full range of stalls.
Alongside the established Festival Bar, visitors can also enjoy a cocktail bar from Wood Brothers Distilling, adding a new dimension to the drinks offer.

Other festival highlights include the return of Eynsham Cellars wine tasting, offering visitors the opportunity to sample a wide range of wines inside St Mary’s Church.
There will also be a full programme of live music in the Festival Tent, featuring local performers throughout the day.
With artisan stalls, street food, music, displays, and activities for all ages, WFOFAD 26 promises another strong year for this well-established community festival.
