The Swan’s new grazing menu offerings

The Swan in Islip opened to great acclaim in 2022 with Michelin starred chef Paul Welburn of 215 fame at the helm. READ ABOUT IT HERE

“We are really evolving and listening to our customers,” Paul continues, “and they don’t always want a full taster menu, but something lighter. So we have a new grazing menu that does just that, where you can order as little or as much as you want and all share the dishes.”

Which means you can enjoy the likes of crispy pig, burnt leek and rhubarb £12, Black Cow custard creams & blackberry ketchup (£12), hummus, pomegranate and yoghurt, flat breads £16, lamb belly, goats curd, peas and broad beans (£16), confit chicken, spiced lentil cake, mango and curry (£16), monkfish, crab sauce, pink grapefruit, sea herbs (£23), fruit cake, Barkham Blue, honey and pear (£15) and banana, toffee custard with 66% chocolate (£15).

“We don’t want there to be any restrictions to what our customers want to eat, or where they want to dine in The Swan,” Paul adds, “so are providing something more informal, so they can now sit where they want. Because we get a lot of walk-ins and they don’t always want a full taster menu but something lighter.”

“We don’t want The Swan to be overcomplicated so have made the menus more stream-lined, and have simplified the options. And as the grazing menu will change constantly depending on what’s seasonal, and what we concoct in the kitchen, it means people will enjoy new tastes and dishes whenever they visit,” Paul adds.

“It also allows us to be more creative, so yes we want to keep evolving and to really focus on what our customers want to ensure The Swan is catering for everyone who visits.”

The famous Swan taster menus will also be on hand, and as Friday and Saturday nights are always a sell out, the weekend evenings will remain taster menus only. The Swan is at 1 Lower St, Islip, Kidlington OX5 2SB. https://swaninnislip.co.uk
